Taroko Art Print

from $30.00

The artwork “Taroko” tells the story of a whale shark that was rescued from a fish market in Taroko National Park in Taiwan, where he got his name. This magnificent creature then went on to live a full and long life at the Georgia Aquarium, where his massive presence instilled visitors with a sense of awe.

Sadly, he passed away in August of 2025.

This artwork layers that tension—between beauty and loss, presence and absence—inviting reflection on what it means to live with hope on this side of eternity. In its depths, you may find echoes of longing, resilience, and a particular celebration of creation in this beautiful world we’ve been gifted to live in.
