February’s Mail
I LOVE this color palette so much! Continuing on from the festivities of the new year, the Shell Collector’s letters are settling back into the regular vibe - but never lacking in surprises!
This month’s letter features the theme of curiosity - the kind that drives you forward to discover and experience new things, even when you might feel the twinge of fear in the back of your mind. Everyone has it - it’s a sign that you’re pushing beyond your comfort zone. But what will we do in spite of it?
For this reason and many others, this letter design is very close to my heart.
Inside this envelope, you will find a heartfelt letter in old telegraph style, a mini art print of my latest ocean painting with eagle rays, a challenge and journal prompt of the month, a vintage postcard with a relaxed watercolor on the front, and special this month: the first collectible Shell with a creature fact card!
And as always, this was thoughtfully hand-packaged with nautical scrapbook paper and a sailor’s knot of the month!
It was brought to my attention that some of my subscribers were having a difficult time finding what kind of knot I used on a given month, so I started tagging them with its name and use, to make it a more immersive learning experience.
What beautiful complimentary colors! I love how this came together so much. It’s like a birthday present…and how ironic, given that is indeed February. 🩵
If you missed February’s mail, don’t worry - it will be available as “catch up mail” in my shop. Be sure to share the smiles and tag me on social media (@ruthscego.art) when you open it! I hope it makes your month.
The letter coming in March has themes of courage - and the artwork within indeed required a heavy dose of it. Sign up on Patreon before February 20 if you haven’t already! You won’t want to miss this!
Until next month,
Ruth 🌊
