A Treasure Trove in Your Mailbox 📪
As a kid, I loved writing letters. Not printed, not emailed—but your traditional, cursive, hand-written, heart-poured-in kind of letters. I had multiple pen pals, and it would absolutely make my week to receive something in the mail from them. Something I could touch, feel, even smell. Something heart-warming that I could keep for a long, long time.
That memory has always stayed with me, and it shapes a lot of what I do today as an artist.
First, An Introduction…
Whether you’ve been here a while or just now stumbled across my work and are here for the first time - Welcome!! Hi, I’m Ruth—a self-taught mixed media artist who creates nautical and marine-inspired works using both canvas and materials layered with story, like wood and retired saw blades. For me, art isn’t just about what hangs on a wall. It’s about the sense of wonder it brings into everyday life.
My work is rooted in the belief that creativity is a gift meant to stir joy, spark curiosity, and reconnect us with the world around us. I want my art to invite people to pause—to notice God’s presence in the small, quiet details: a seashell on the beach, the sway of the tide, or the simple joy of holding something meaningful in your hands.
The Shell Collector’s Print Club
That’s why I started the Shell Collector’s Print Club—a way of bringing that sense of wonder and connection right to your mailbox.
Each month, members receive a curated envelope filled with art and little surprises. Inside, you might find:
A collectible art print inspired by marine and maritime life.
A handwritten (or hand-illustrated) letter, like a postcard from my world.
A sticker to brighten up a journal, laptop, or water bottle.
Occasional surprise extras - anything that fits in a letter envelope is not off limits!
Over time, these become more than just envelopes—they form a growing treasure chest of art and keepsakes, like building your own seashell collection. It’s the kind of gift that keeps giving, month after month.
But why a Print Club?
I’ve always wanted to create something that goes beyond digital screens—a tangible, immersive experience that spreads joy and meaning, and makes people smile. The Shell Collector’s Print Club is that experience.
It’s a way for me to share my art in a format that feels personal and intentional—like those letters I treasured as a kid. It’s also an invitation to pause, reconnect with your surroundings, and find delight in the everyday.
